This workshop is an opportunity to drop into your body, deepen your relationship with your soma, and explore what somatics* is. Together, we will practice self-care within a collective container, engaging in liberation practices—rehearsing the future and showing up for the work we are called to do. Our bodies are political, and we must remember that we are the creators of the stories we tell ourselves and others. This is a space to reclaim our joy, fierceness, and imagination.

*Somatics is about our ability to be present with sensations and emotions by building tolerance for what we feel. It helps us become aware of our current practices and learn new ones that align with our values and who we want to become. — Definition inspired by Stacy K. Haines, in “Politics of Trauma”

Radical care is multidirectional and interdependent. In this ecosystem, care doesn’t flow in one direction or even reciprocally but rather gathers where it is needed. Tian Zhang “A manifesto for radical care or how to be a human in the arts”
